After his original saberstaff was destroyed, Darth Maul did not rebuild it the same way. He adapted.
At some point in the years between his rise on Mandalore and the chaos of the Clone Wars’ final days, Maul came into possession of a second hilt—one attributed to Asajj Ventress, lost after the events surrounding Dark Disciple. How he acquired it is… unclear. Some say it passed through the underworld. Others claim it was taken. What matters is what he did next.
He fused it with the surviving half of his original staff—creating a mismatched, rebuilt saberstaff that first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7. Not a replica. Not a restoration. An evolution.
This is the version he carries into the fall of the Republic—through the Siege of Mandalore, through Order 66—and the same lightsaber he wields as the Shadow Lord in the next chapter of his story.
Two histories. One saber.
