Brushed silver construction, exposed mechanical details, black ribbed accents, an oversized control box, and flashes of brass give the hilt the appearance of something assembled, modified, and kept alive across years of use rather than built pristine from a single blueprint.
Fun Fact: The Derelict is a rare case where the physical prop came before its appearance in the Star Wars universe. Lewis built the working hilt first, then modeled his real-world creation for inclusion in The Old Republic. Even natural paint wear that developed on the physical hilt was retained in the digital version.
