Inspired by Jedi Master Ven Zallow, Defiant draws from one of the most memorable Jedi designs of the Old Republic era — pairing a long, substantial silhouette with polished silver, warm brass accents, deep black detailing and the distinctive swept emitter shroud. But this version takes the design a step further.... A hidden door opens to reveal a glowing crystal chamber like our Dark Heritage.
Lore Fact: When the Temple fell, Ven Zallow stood his ground. During the Sacking of Coruscant, the Jedi Master led the Temple’s defense before facing Darth Malgus himself. Though Zallow fell in the duel, his saber survived the destruction and was later recovered from the ruins by his astromech, T7-O1.
A concealed panel in the center of the hilt opens to reveal an illuminated crystal chamber, adding another layer of detail beneath an otherwise remarkably clean exterior. Green (or any color matching the blade) light glows through the chamber and emitter accents, echoing the blade color Zallow carried during his final stand at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
The result feels appropriately restrained at first glance, then considerably more complicated once you start looking closer. Very Jedi Master. Very “there was absolutely more engineering in here than necessary.” And we approve.
