Some props become legends long after the films end. The Dark Lord: ROTJ Auction Legacy is our tribute to one of them — the screen-used Vader saber that recently crossed the auction block for over $36 million.
This was the hilt carried by David Prowse in the suit, and wielded in combat by Bob Anderson, the stunt master behind Vader’s dueling form in both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It’s the prop that saw Cloud City, the throne room, the end of the Emperor, and the last moments between father and son.
Our version isn’t a replica of a “perfect” studio model — it’s a love letter to the real artifact: slightly strange proportions, the asymmetrical shroud, the control box quirks, the grips that clearly came from a photo-flash handle born before anyone imagined lightsabers.
It’s Darth Vader at his most rotoscoped, kitbashed, and raw — the way it existed on set, not in digital retellings.
