His lightsaber reflected that philosophy perfectly: compact, efficient, and deceptively simple. Small enough to disappear beneath a robe sleeve, yet perfectly balanced for the acrobatic Form IV combat style that made even Sith Lords struggle to keep up.
Fun Fact: Despite his age, Yoda’s preferred fighting style was Form IV: Ataru, an aggressive acrobatic form built around speed and momentum. To this end, George Lucas originally intended Yoda to feel wise and mysterious first—his sudden combat abilities in Attack of the Clones were designed to surprise audiences entirely.
